Refunds & cancellations
When fees for application audits, retainers, and workshops may be refunded, reduced, or kept.
This policy applies to professional services offered by Logic Space: full packet application audits, pre-committee readiness checks, standing desk retainers, and requester briefing workshops. It does not cover physical goods or software subscriptions, which we do not sell.
Eligibility overview
Refunds depend on how much work has started, whether a calendar slot was reserved, and the engagement type. All requests should be sent in writing to hello@logic-space.digital with your engagement reference.
Full packet audits & readiness checks
- Cancellation more than 10 business days before the agreed start date — deposit refunded in full minus any bank transfer fees.
- Cancellation 5–10 business days before start — 50% of the deposit retained; remainder refunded.
- Cancellation under 5 business days, or after document intake has begun — deposit non-refundable. If substantial reading has started, fees for hours already worked are payable; unused prepaid amounts may be partially refunded at our discretion.
- Completed memo delivered — fees are non-refundable. If we materially fail to deliver the agreed memo, you may request a remedy or refund of fees paid for that engagement.
Workshops
- More than 14 days before the session — full refund of sums paid, less transfer fees.
- 7–14 days before — 50% refund.
- Under 7 days, or no-show — no refund. You may reschedule once within three months if we have capacity, subject to a rebooking fee of 10% of the session price.
- Materials already customised to your thresholds after intake — customisation costs stated in the quote remain payable.
Standing desk retainers
Monthly retainer fees are billed in advance. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month if notice is received at least 10 business days before the next billing date. Unused packet capacity within a month does not roll over and is not refundable. Mid-month cancellation does not refund the current month once review work has been available to you.
Deposits
Deposits secure calendar time. They are applied to the final invoice when work completes. Non-refundable deposits under the rules above compensate reserved capacity we cannot easily refill.
Work already started
Once we have opened your packet and begun structured reading, fees reflect time spent even if you later withdraw the application internally. We will stop further work on written request and invoice only for work performed plus non-refundable deposit portions.
Purchased third-party items
If an engagement requires a paid room hire or courier at your request, those pass-through costs are non-refundable once incurred.
Processing time & method
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payer by bank transfer (or the original method if different and still available). You are responsible for providing accurate account details.
Rescheduling
One reschedule for audits or workshops is usually available without penalty if requested at least 7 business days before the start date, subject to capacity. Further reschedules may be treated as cancellations.
How to request a refund
Email hello@logic-space.digital with your name, organisation, engagement date or invoice number, and reason. We respond within five business days with a decision and, if applicable, next steps.
Exceptions
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be waived under Japanese consumer or contract law where those laws apply to you.
